Christ the Redeemer Quincy is the newest congregation of Christ the King Boston. Matt Owens and his family began meeting and getting to know their neighbors in Quincy last fall. In January, they began meeting with a community group and began to see Christ change hearts and lives. In the months following, the newly formed group discovered a variety of ways to serve and engage the city of Quincy, including Think & Drink and teaching ESL in partnership with CTK Quincy, a Brazilian PCA church already in Quincy.
In May, a core group began meeting to discuss the vision, mission and values of a new congregation in Quincy. Recently, the Lord has provided a space at an old church for the new church to begin meeting. Christ the Redeemer Quincy will have preview services this fall, and launch weekly worship services in the spring of 2020. Find out more about the work at http://ctrquincy.org
Please pray for...
- the Lord to continue to draw unchurched people to himself through the ministry and community of CTR Quincy
- the Lord to raise up laborers for the harvest, to provide mature Christians of all ages and backgrounds to contribute to the ministry of CTR Quincy
- all of the logistics that go into beginning a worship service (musicians, children's ministry leaders, etc.)
- Matt, his wife Naomi and son Liam, as they weather the ups, downs, joys and uncertainties of planting a new congregation.
